Amanda and Johan face major changes and challenges when Johan is called up to the NHL, and the move forces them to confront how this new life impacts their relationship. The author keeps everything grounded, which makes the story feel authentic and emotionally honest.
What I really appreciated was how the focus always remained on Amanda and Johan and how they felt navigating these changes together. Instead, they serve to underline the challenges of maintaining a strong connection in the face of external pressure.
